Go their for the serenity, for the sound of the water and the colorful flowers, for the path between the tall trees. this place is beautiful for the soul. At the souvenir shop we found very nice puppets. nice site value the money.
Be there when the others have not yet come or are already gone. A treasure of the art of gardening. The essence of the place. water - green - calm.............................
We've visited the gardens in autumn 2011 and revisited them again in spring 2016 a few days ago. It's always risky to revisit a site since you can only repeat and rarely improve on the experience. However, the 2-km stroll through the mixed Italian - French - English garden amidst its embedded heritage buildings never disappoints. Warmly recommended for families... 更多
We visited the gardens on a beautiful sunny autumn day. Even though it was a Saturday it was very calm in the late morning, apart from a few other couples we had the grounds to ourselves. We followed the suggested route and spent around 2 hours photographing and enjoying the gardens. There happened to be a big troupe of paragliders... 更多
Although we made a special arrangement to visit out of season I have to say that the staff couldn't have been more helpful. What makes this garden special is the way in which features have been aded over the centuries yet the overall scheme of things: lots of small scale water effects running of several small streams and channels, remains... 更多
The gardens were laid out in 1758 and have grown and changed with style changes. You need a good day, not necessarily sunny but not raining. Principally a garden of water features and trees there is a kitchen garden and a small flower garden. A gentle stroll leads you from one feature to another passing the beautiful house (not open... 更多
We were lucky to find an hour with no rain to visit the beautiful gardens. The is a path that leads you through the various parts of the garden, watching the plants (usually green, almost no flowers), the castle (from the outside only) and the sculptures. Parking was in the mud. As opposed to other attraction outside of big cities... 更多
An old manor's park, it has very nicely kept French and Italian gardens. A great place for a walk and some relax on a sunny day. It has also a small but lovely wooden made playground - if you are with small kids, they will really enjoy it!
Lovely gardens and a very pleasant walk around. A bit of a rip off charging for parking as the car park is huge straight across the road and you are paying for entry to the gardens.. It wasn't a minimum entry fee either. Also they need a few more gardeners. As this is a tourist attraction I would expect the... 更多
