The place is nice in the daytime, but best after 10 pm, when all bars and restaurants are open and packed with people, mostly locals, form young to old. You can enjoy a real Spanish experience, without the touristic touch.
We dropped into Archidona while staying nearby at Cortijo, La Haza. It was a bit of a dull day but the unusual plaza was well worth a look
I first visited Archidona in 2015,since then I have bought a house and moved to the village/The Ochavada is considered to be probably the best in Andalucia.Lots of events held there throughout the year and the best bars and restaurants in the town are around it.If travelling between Seville and Granada take a detour.its a must.
Authentic square in the heart of Archidona, steeped in history. Beautiful buildings and a choice of three restaurants for a meal surrounded by memories of the olden days.
Interesting 'square' with a selection of cafes and restaurants. Nice place to hang out. It is unusual to find an eight sided 'square' and the buildings are attractive and in the past were used for a very different purpose than eateries.
