It is one of the highest falls in the world. The Kynrem falls located on the way to shella from cherrapunjee. The road till the point is full of potholes with deep gorge on the other side. But the journey till there will always be a memorable one.
It was not part of my plan to drive to that place. there was a landslide enroute while returning from cherrapunji holiday resort . The road leading to this place is a little bumpy and not so well maintained as the ones at Cherrapunjee. The best time to visit is during peak monsoon. i visited this during november and water level was less . However this gave a good opportunity to children to climb on the rocks and enjoy the adventure. however the approach roads are really bad and hence not many people visit these falls. You can have the entire falls to yourselves which we enjoyed.
I was in Cherrapunjee for two nights and three days, visited many places, saw many falls and caves and various tourist spots. As i said in my previous reviews with regard to to waterfalls in cherrapunjee. These are all pretty good & soothing . But nothing out of the world or breathtaking .
Around half an hour drive from Cherra resort took us to the foot of the Kyn Rem falls. Since it was April, not too much water. This is one place just by the road, and hence not much trek/walk.
