It's an amazing place where they explain about turtles, explicit the turtles in Brazil and the work they are doing. The have small basins where you can see different types of turtles. A corner for children and sometimes plays for children. Most of the signs etc is translated in English, however not all. They also offer guided tours. Great place... 更多
We arrived just in time for a tour at 3:30pm. We were able to see turtles and sharks. Our 9 year old had the opportunity to feel a sharkskin while it was being fed. We also saw when two turtle nests were dug after a previous night's natural hatching which normally is followed by digging for newborn turtles and subsequent... 更多
small site with a few big turtles and other fishes in different tanks/pools. We were able to also see some baby turtles. Our kids enjoyed it, especially as they were never fast enough to see a sea turtle outside on the beach (there are a few).
Nicely laid out place, not huge, good info (in Eng) about turtles and how they are helping to protect them, lots of people there when I visited but didn't feel too crowded. Located right at the bottom of the main street -good way to spend an hour and a bit.
Learning about the Tamar project and their years-long effort to help protect marine life in the region is fantastic. This is my fifth visit, and this time with children, who marvel at the turtles, fish and even nurse sharks in the park. I feel however that the animals in the complex are somewhat 'abandoned', and could be better cared for.... 更多
It's interesting. It's bigger and better than some of the reviews here imply, and some of the signage is now in English. And they have some really good information on how they work with communities and sustainable development not just eco... But some of the pools for the turtles are very small...! And they have tons of space so I... 更多
I have been in several sea turtle sanctuaries and this one is more focus on the educational part than others and they do a great job to ensure the safety of the hatching. The keep some turtles in pools and I don't like that if it is permanent, they should be at sea
My family loved this place ! It is a project that saves sea animals like sea turtles, sharks, and different types of fish. They have a display with all kinds of these type of animals including giant turtles. Incredible ! Don´t miss it if you go to Bahia. It is located about one hour from the airport of Salvador.
