The Himalayan Zoological Park was unique in my experience for the wide variety of big cats on display along with other indigenous species. The zoo situated on the hilly terrain is worth to visit. All animals are kept in enclosures for clear view of the l public . The Bengal tiger is the star attraction. Another one is the state animal Red Ponda. A good place to visit.
Worth a visit, kids would love and enjoy to see Snow Leopards, Black Panther, Lions, Tigers, Mountain foxes, Bear, variety of himalayan birds. Do not forget to see the variety of coloured flowering plant near the Zoo's Gate.
