This is probably the highlight of our trip in Gangtok. This lake was unreal and so clean. I just wish there were less tourists but even then the snow covered hills and the crystal clear semi frozen lake is something else.
Tsomgolake is located about 38 Kms from Gangtok at an elevation of 12400ft (3780 Mtrs). It is on the same route to Baba Mandir and Nathula pass which is India’s border with China. Our luck - lake was frozen and it was awesome. Great view. Would recommend to carry proper clothes - warm clothes, gloves, snow boots, caps if you are going during the time it mite snow. It would help you to enjoy the place and view without worrying about cold. Do take a round around the lake, slide on the snow... 更多
Lake is a natural lake. I was lucky that i have got snow falling in april months. that makes it loving.Yak riding is one other feature. Normally it takes rs 300 but may be bargained.

This place on route to nathula pass, but you need to halt here while your return journey from nathula pass, the lake is neat and clean on the high altitude's in the mountain's with snow covered mountain's, here you can hier YAK ride for charges and to photograph also, here there is small market from where you can purchase jacket's... 更多
