We were brought to this building by our private tour guide. Although the building had a lot of empty space, it is an interesting building architecturally and historically. It seems this historical mansion, now used as a cultural center in Tlaquepaque, is a hit or miss attraction. Artist selling their wares, or maybe a small event that focuses on visiting artisans, or nothing at all. Try to find a schedule before going.
Fun to watch the artists and view the many talented artisans create their wares. This is in a large old mansion which is a historical treat.
TripAdvisor gives the impression that this community center is akin to an art museum. hence, we dutifully made the seven block walk to the Refugio.
