Arrived on a sunny sunday afternoon for a late lunch to be told that the restaurant stopped serving hot food at 3pm - minor issue. Wildlife close enough to be a great experience for our 18month old toddler and impressive for the grown-ups. We were looking forward to our canoe safari but when we arrived 'sorry last canoe left at... 更多
We have been visiting here for many years but have never before written a review. Marin Mere is a great place for young and old, the birds and the otters are a delight but the setting is brilliant and new features are introduced regularly.
I have always visited Mere Sands Nature Reserve and been delighted at the accessibility, great paths and the apparent wildness of the place. We decided to go today to Martin Mere having seen advertised the wild creature collection, and having seen it on TV. I booked tickets online and was a bit taken aback by the price, Mere Sands is... 更多
We took our 18 month old granddaughter here as we had her for a long enough day. There was more than enough to keep her occupied and amused for plenty of time. We saw the otters being fed, pink flamingoes (a bit of a change from our local birds) and of course the playground. A special treat was the electric... 更多
Had an excellent afternoon out. Had the place virtually to ourselves which was nice. Thanks to Vinney for an excellent free talk on Flamingo's. The highlight was a filter feeding flamingo eating from my hand! The Hawaian geese are also very tame and friendly. My wife is disabled and I am able to get in free. I would recommend Martin... 更多
Spent many happy days at Martin Mere. Great playground (take your waterproofs!) and good information on local wildlife. The Kayaks are great (run from Spring to early Autumn). There is a good cafe on site, and plenty of picnic areas if you bring your own food.
This well presented visitor attraction is highly recommended, lots to see and do. My recommendation is to become a member as if you intend to visit regularly you will save a fortune. Always something new to see very well informed staff and welcoming volunteers. The grounds are well maintained with plenty of seats to wile away the time enjoying the... 更多
Been going since my sons were young now my grandsons live to go. Nice big cafe with hot food and snacks, seating outside beside large pond with lots of feathered friends. Many of the ducks eat from your hand. Canoe ride is a must.
Lovely day out, we often visit as we have membership, children never tire of attending always something to see and do. We tend to take a picnic as we find the café a little over priced when visiting somewhere regularly.
