The Palacio de Sobrellano was designed by Gaudi's mentor Joan Martorell. We just saw the elegant outside since the tour times weren't convenient. It was a bit annoying that we walked past El Capricho, Gaudi's wonderfully designed house, on the way up but had to go back down the hill and around the block and up the hill again to... 更多
We were advised not to go inside this Gaudi palace as all the information and commentary is in Spanish. The palace is next door to the El Capricho house and we walked through the park to see the exterior. The views from the palace are also good and it is well worth going to see if you are in the... 更多
A beautiful place but unfortunately can only be viewed with a guide who only speaks in Spanish. There are no audio guides in other languages just a leaflet with a minimum amount of information in English. There are many tourists of different nationalities visiting Comillas so there should be information in different languages provided in these tourist attractions the same... 更多
The tour guide only spoke Spanish, but our group guide was able to translate to English for our group of mixed-Nationals (mostly American, English and German). There are so many interesting art pieces in the palace, as well as the history of the building itself. The tour is limited to the two main floors ... my curiosity about the kitchens... 更多
A beautiful building with a very interesting history. Unfortunately, you can only visit it with a guided tour which is exclusively in Spanish. Still worth the visit but a shame to miss so much. It's worth visiting the capricio de Gaudi first as this has info in English which refers to the palace as well.
Probably better on the inside than the outside. Virtually right next to El Capricho but you have to talk around a bit to get in. And the only way to get in is to join a tour - and they all seemed to be Spanish, hence it went on a bit...
And of course it houses some of Gaudi's furniture. Next to the palace is a beautiful pantheon - we toured both places, which are a short walk to town. The Government of Cantabria owns the palace, the inside was quite interesting, however all tours were in Spanish.
The marquis of Comillas ordered the construction of a palace to some of the most famous modernist Barcelona architects of... 更多
