Took this hike on a whim. When we reached a fork in the path we chose the longer hike to Observation Point first, then loop around to the falls. After a pass through the pines at the bottom of the mountain, we were assulted by mosquitos. Bug repellent is a must! As we continued up the trail, the bugs subsided.... 更多
We went on this hike on a whim and I wasn't even wearing my hiking boots. I was wearing my comfy Clarks that I wear on the boardwalks. I figured I could turn back if things got too difficult. We didn't do the overlook but only did the waterfall view which is a little shorter. It was fairly easy and... 更多
It was a moderately strenuous hike following the Biscuit Basin boardwalk. The view of the falls made it worth it !A good hiking experience with my boys
The beginning of this hike is pretty steep - up through forest and a series of switchbacks. Mozzie repellent is essential. But press on because the view from the overlook is incredible. The rest of the walk much easier across meadow to the top of the (stunning) falls. After that it's mostly downhill or flat and absolutely beautiful. (The hike... 更多
This is a very pleasant hike and it does take you through a geyser area, to the top of a small peak and by a waterfall, so it does have great variety. None of the sights individually are exceptional. I recommend going to peak versus the waterfall first as it will give you something to look forward to at the... 更多
This was our 4-year-old daughter's first "real" trail hike. It was great! She did a wonderful job with the switchbacks (we held her hand the whole time) up to the gorgeous overlook - what an incredible way to see the geyser basin! From there we proceeded to the falls - so lovely! She and I ate snack while my husband... 更多
Great trail to walk with the family. If you want to keep it easy take the shorter trail to the left at the split. If you want a awesome view from the top of the canyon follow the trail to the right and take the longer trail. The falls at the end are very beautiful!
The walk to the waterfall is plain albeit very nice. Most interesting part is started after waterfall if you would like to spend an hour on moderate trail with very nice views. There are a swimming hole on waterfall right side. Be careful, the thermal water on the ground is very hot. Mixed water in the hole is warm.
