A little confusing to get to, it's actually more west of 430 N Bend.
The nature center was not open on Saturday, so we weren't exactly sure how long the trails were or how they connected.
Yet, it was a nice hike for roughly an hour; a good amount of twists, turns & stairs. Beautiful foliage & a nice mill...
Was a wonderful creek.
There are 3 looped trails/ridges that are about a mile each but you can get a lot of hiking in. If you go down the assessable trail and follow the trail you ll go down a long flight of steps which is nicknamed killer hill, go up it and you ll figure out why.
This little nature preserve is relatively small, yet it provides a good hike for all levels. The preserve covers woods that span a small gorge (or holler). The visitor center has great information. Programs can be scheduled for school groups and home schools.
It's also adjacent to the Mill Creek and the Greenway Trail and the Caldwell golf course.
