I do not like contemporary art but did enjoy this place. It is well done and not too overpowering. You can be in and out in a short length of time and be quite entertained.
We haven't been to Cincinnati in a very long time. In fact, the last time this cutting edge, beautifully designed museum was brand new. It has not lost it's edge and the design is even better than I remember it. It almost doesn't matter what the exhibition is, it's worth going to see the and experience Zaha Hadid's great design.
Staff very friendly. Reasonable price. Only takes about an hour to walk through. Best part was the swinging pendulums on the wall spanning all 5 floors. Each floor is small. Rotating exhibits would keep people coming back. Have to be open minded about Contemporary. Not really for pre-middle schoolers.
The museum had some very interesting pieces of art, my family really enjoyed the drawings from the Jerome Project (Asphalt & Chalk). The kids had fun playing with the interactive artwork on the 6th floor and admission is free on Wednesdays after 5pm.
