Very cool place to check out and learn about Ohio's only president. You can view the house and many art installations and collections as well. There is one day a week that it is free to visit , so look for that information before you go. Cafe has some good options if you need a snack during your visit. Parking... 更多
This is William Taft's boyhood home, and we enjoyed taking the tour and learning about his life. His accomplishments impressed me.
Visited this home of President Taft while in Cincinnati for the weekend. The tour started with a short video about the Taft family then a park ranger led us on a tour of the house. The tour was very informative and the ranger was very interesting. After the tour with the ranger, we were invited to look at the displays... 更多
We were passing through Cincinnati and decided to check out this National Historical site. After a video, the Park Ranger led us through the home discussing each room. There is so much more to learn about President Taft than what I remember from school. Very interesting and well worth a stop.
This free National Park is dedicated to the life of not only the 27th president of the US, but also chief justice of the supreme court William Howard Taft the only person to hold both offices. You will learn many interesting facts about his life and accomplishments There is a small parking lot at the sight on Mount Auburn. Open... 更多
Our family enjoys going to presidential sites, and we enjoyed this one very much. We had just gone to the Underground Railroad Museum in Cincinnati also, and it was much more reading/text intensive, so this one was refreshingly manageable and not the least bit overwhelming. The tour by the park ranger is short but good. Very little of the home... 更多
We stopped since this was a National Historical site and it was free. The Park Ranger led us thru the home of President Taft and provided a lot of information about the Taft family. This followed the short video in the Park Visitor center. Actually, this was very interesting, since my husband and I love American history.
Interesting look back into America's largest President (he actually got stuck in the White House bathtub) and the politics of the time. He was a friend of Teddy Roosevelt, although they later had a falling out over political matters. He seemed to be a limited-government Constitutionalist, who opposed many of the larger plans of others; much like a predecessor to... 更多
William Howard Taft was born here. There is a film about his life. A National Park ranger was our tour guide. The furnishings are not original but they are period correct. There is a small museum. Taft was unique. He was president but his dream job was Chief Justice of the U S Supreme court. The tour was free.
See the film first, short and sweet. The ranger led visit to the house was interesting as well as the artifacts in each room. The small museum had limited items but it did provide information about.the 27th president. Yeah behind all great man a great women.
