This is a great little museum in the old Yazoo & Miss RR depot. The model train layouts are really neat, and I am a train lover, both real and model. The scale models of the gunboats and other boats are extremely well detailed and scaled. There are house models and cars, many done by one local modeler. His work... 更多
Not really the greatest museum but to get a sense of what took place here it offers a look at what happened that is pretty interesting. I agree that kids probably wouldn't be that fascinated except with some of the models, but for us it was pretty good. We enjoyed it.
Large model of vicksburg battlefield. Many models of ironclad river boats and others. Large model railway layout which was operational when we visited. Man in charge gave us some history on the battle and vicksburg.
kids will be interested in the mini train and battle field sets fro about 20 minuets then will be interested in the train out side for about 10. its neat but not recommended for kids. If you are going with out kids this will more than likely be interesting to you at some point during your tour , also make... 更多

This is kind of deceiving. It has nothing to do with a depot. It is a minature replica of the Civil War in Vicksburg under glass. It has replicas of gunboats and the city with the train that ran around it. Just not our cup of tea.
