Mr Bubble, was the whim invention of a very successful businessman. The video was informative and inspiring--an American success story. Loved the "What's my Line?" video showing Mr Schafer's appearance. Also, it explains why Medora, is Medora, he pumped a lot of cash into his hometown.
I enjoyed my visit to the Harold Schafer Heritage Center. You start out with a 23 minute video about Harold and his wife. Then you view the history of the company he started and all the products that were developed and sold. The most famous product was Mr. Bubble but there are many others as well. They are all there... 更多
This is one of the few places that actually explains what happened in Medora. The interior is a professional museum set-up. Harold Schaeffer is interesting, and his history is explained well. I enjoyed learning about the history of his company and products. I did watch all the videos. I would have liked to have seen more about both wives. What... 更多
I've been here many times and brought my 2 granddaughters this time. It seemed as though some of the things that used to be here were missing, but maybe I've just been here too many times. My granddaughters seemed rather uninterested, so we didn't stay long. But since it's free, I highly recommend stopping in if you haven't been here... 更多
The best part of this place is it is free! It is a tribute to Harold Schafer who developed Medora into the tourist attraction it is today. It features short films of him and his wife Sheila, and his Gold Seal business. Out the east door is an outdoor plaza with comfy chairs to relax in the shade of the... 更多
Cute little museum all about Harold Schafer and the important role he played in rejuvenating the town of Medora. The museum is free to all visitors. Allow about one hour to tour the museum. It is very informative and gives you a whole new appreciation for this little town and the people who made it what it is today.
We just happened to walk by, thought I bet this is air conditioned so went in. What a great unexpected find. Learning about Harold Schafer and his life was delightful. So fun to learn about people who are so community focused, family oriented, and generous with their blessings. Well worth the visit.
The Museum is Free. Medora exists today because of the generosity of Harold Schafer! There are many displays, videos and historic memorabilia from the years Harold Schafer developed and marketed the products sold to millions of store customers. His is the story of a self-made man who because of his generosity brought Medora back to life. The Museum is both... 更多
