had my grandsons birthday parety here a few yrs. ago. kids had a great time. loved the magic show. birthday boy was called upon to help perform magic. all the kids got a small gift.
Pros: -They had allot of memorabilia -The kids loved the magic show -Price wasnt outrageous Cons: -horrible parking (a driveway) -Very very crowded space (small home renovated for museum) -Bad jokes and sometimes inappropriate for young kids (innuendos only adults would mostly get) -Rude to late guests and they were made an example of how you get treated if you... 更多
We were staying in Wilkes Barre and had the afternoon free. I watch the show "Mysteries at the Museum" and they have featured the Houdini Museum a couple of times. When we called they had told us that it would be a three hour tour and show and it was. There were kids there that made the magic show even... 更多
We stopped there after checking into our motel around 3 or 4 o'clock and they were closed. Information we had from on-line stated they were open on week-ends.
All brochures and websites suggest calling and reserving. We even keep our hours off Google search and suggest to CALL... 更多

The Houdini Museum is top notch. It may not look like much from the outside, but the people that run it and the magic that comes from the stage is wonderful. The History of Houdini is held in the highest regard and people who leave there either enjoy themselves or are not true Houdini Fans.
We went with 3 children ages 8, 10 and 11. The truth is that they loved the magicians and not so much the history part. The magicians were Bravo the Great and Dorothy Deitrich. We did not know these names before going but google them and WOW! We were stunned that we met such famous magicians here in Scranton. We... 更多
A delightful way to spend a few weekend afternoon hours. If you don't believe in magic, Dick and Dorothy will change your mind. The exhibits and magic show are fantastic and will have you scratching your head to figure out how they do it. A treat for any age. Reasonable (less than $20) and highly recommended!
My step daughter and I were looking for something to do and she asked me to look for a museum. I found the Houdini Museum and we drove out there from Wilkes Barre. We only had time to see the show but it was fun.. and I was picked to be in one of the magic tricks! We loved it!!
