I really enjoyed myself. I was invited to a picnic there. I was quite surprised at how big it is. So pretty and green. Plenty of things to do. I just luv the zoo. My favorite.
Forest Park in Springfield is a great urban park, with enough space to let you feel surrounded by the forest but still useful features like baseball diamonds, picnic sites, etc. Parking the car and taking a long walk through the park lets you take in the different scenery, down to the lake. Even just driving through the park and out... 更多

This park needs the boost because many locals still rely on it for leisure & activities as well as picnicking and swimming in the summer months. The animals are gone & they are known for their Christmas... 更多

I go walking in Forest Park often with friends. One day we walked from the duck pond down into the woods then back up and all the way to Barney Mausoleum. I had been there many times in my childhood, but we stopped along the way to read all the signs. It is so historical.
this park is the best in the city with its pine tree forrest, baseball fields, zoo, swimming pool, basketball courts and of course its indoor skating rink
