Just off the highway north from the harbour on your way to Hawi. Be sure to stop. A nice facility with a indoor viewing area of the flavouring, packaging process. Lovely large shopping area with lots of tasting of coffee, mac nuts, popcorn, cookies and other confections. Clean washrooms. Nice video of the harvest and processing of the nuts. Very... 更多
We saw a sign for a gift shop and tried to find it. After driving back and forth along the road we found the small sign and went up the hill. Nice surprise at the end. Learned a lot about macadamia nuts. Enjoyed some samples and left with gifts for the family. They need to have an entrance sign that... 更多
It was amazing how many different flavors they have for you to sample. There is also a video that shows you the process of collecting the nuts to cracking to using. You can also watch the factory equipment behind glass windows-canning, making brittle, etc. It is easy to spend 30 minutes or more here and worth the stop.
We were looking for a light lunch when I saw the sign off Highway 19. Unfortunately they have no "real food", but pleanty of flavored nut samples, ice cream and various fruit smoothies. The gift shop is huge and fairly priced (for Hawaii). You can watch the factory in operation and learn lots about macadamia nuts. We left when a... 更多
Wow! Samples galore. Stop here to try a few free samples and get a few bags. All Hawaiian grown, and a great variety of flavored nuts. If you can stop by during the week and you can see the processing in real time. Great stop, definitely recommend. Prices here much better than touristy shops and airport.
This was a great stop! We got to see the equipment (sadly not running) for making delicious macadamia nut treat AND we got to sample lots of flavors of macadamia nuts, including Spam!! Our kids each selected their favorite flavor to take back & share a 'taste of Hawaii' with their classes! The "turtle egg" chocolates were my personal favorite... 更多
The sampling is unlimited with a very large selection of macadamia flavors from Jalapeño to glazed coconut, wasabi, chocolate-covered, etc. There are also rum cakes, boxes of candy, soaps, candles, coffee and a self-guided factory tour (We arrived past operation hours.). This was a good place for purchasing gifts to take home. Another option: if you are a Costco member,... 更多
This stop would be a great add-on if you are going to be in the area. After a beautiful drive, you are treated to free samples of all their products and coffee, and of course you can purchase some too. The self-guided factory tour was engaging for our 4-year old who was fascinated by the machinery and explanations of how... 更多
My husband has wanted to go here for a while. We, the rest of the family were not interested until we walked in the door. The samples were flowing, the people were so nice and the options were amazing! So many ways to make a macadamia nut taste better...if that is even possible. Try them all but if you are... 更多
