Albuquerque museum is always a wonderful place to visit. The first thing you see is a statue that pays homage to our Spanish history and as you walk to the entrance, a beautiful and interesting scuplture garden. They have a different event every third Thursday of the month, usually with an open bar and a small art project or two... 更多
I think a lot of great museums in smaller cities get overlooked. That is too bad because this one is a treasure. It starts with a fine sculpture garden. I particularly liked the contemporary sculptures of park people as well as the group telling the saga of the European settlement of New Mexico. Inside we saw a wonderful exhibit on... 更多
This is a wonderful small museum telling the story of Albuquerque in beautiful & well-done galleries. It is also in a great location sharing a parking lot with Old Town. We easily walked from the Museum to the Square. The special exhibit currently on display is about Route 66 & is very well done too. The Museum is surprisingly affordable... 更多
We visited the museum primarily to see the Route 66 exhibit which brought back all sorts of old memories. Didn't really tour the rest of the museum; but we'd give the Rt. 66 exhibit a "very good".
The museum is a small gem! The current featured exhibition is about the growth and decline of route66. Absolutely wonderful. The museum exhibit halls are in a circle around a single level. Each gallery is excellent. Great cafe for lunch.
The design of the museum drew us from one subject to another revealing very well thought out subjects. The displays are interesting and well done. We felt drawn from one subject to another and wanting to know more. There is some hype but less than in other community museums. I think adults would like this more than children. The area... 更多
A large museum, has over six large rooms with different items describing the many facets of Albuquerque and the Southwest. Make sure to take notes of things you may be interested in. Photo taking is allowed. The galleries contain pre historic and contemporary articles of Albuquerque, quite interesting.
This is a very interesting place. The art starts outside in a sculpture garden and it is varied and good. Inside we saw a comprehensive Route 66 area, a local history area, and a New Mexico art exhibit. Then we had to leave to go on a pre booked tour. I hope I can get back some day.
