We did not choose to hike out to the falls as there was a barrier up -- that plenty of other people just walked around. I'm not sure if it was open or not -- but it is close to Port Angeles, the parking is easy and it looked to be a moderate/easy walk.
Well worth the little drive - just stay on the road and you will come across it. A very nice short paved walk to falls - and the moss is great - Wonderful.
This was our first waterfall on the way from Seattle to the Pacific Coast and it was perfect because it didn't take a lot of time but it was still great scenery.
If you are staying in the Port Angeles area, Madison Creek Falls, in the Elwha River area of the park, is both an easy drive and then an easy 1/2 mile round trip walk on a paved path to a pretty viewpoint.
This waterfall is great because it's not far from the car park and anyone can access it even the wheelchair bound. Not a lot of room to view the Falls, but if you visit mid week there's no problem.
What a great little falls. Fantastic that it is paved as our friend who needs a scooter was able to drive her little scooter up to the falls. She so enjoyed that and was pleased to be able to see it. Big ones, small ones, fan ones, skinny ones. This waterfall is a short distance down a path. As you walk down / up the path you will definitely feel the difference in tge temperture. It was a pretty hot day and It sure felt like the temperature dropped by 10 degrees as we approached the waterfall. It was very nice... 更多
