When built it was ahead of its time with hot and cold running water a ventilation system and speaking tubes. Our guide Sara was excellent really bringing the house and its history to life, well,worth paying extra to see the top floors and the cupola with great views over the town.
We thoroughly enjoyed seeing this grand historic home. Hay House makes a stand on 934 Georgia Ave. Its setting is magnificent if you approach the house down from the river and up to the house higher up. The house is beautifully preserved. I was enthralled and in awe of the "Hay House", we had an exceptional guided tour with (Elliot Fernandez) the mansion was breathtakingly beautiful and so well preserved....A must see!!!
The 500 pound front door will amaze you because they are so easy to open. The grand ball room was astounding. This is a must see.
