has a great petting zoo for the children, lovely walks, the children cna help with the milking and shearing of the sheep. it is good for city kids to see how a cow is milked.
In the mid position between Auckland City centre and Auckland Airport, this Council Park is also a farm, operational farm in small scale with sheep (and shearing function), pig, cow (and milking facility), and horses paddock. This park also has functions as a caravan park and playground for children, bird watching and walking tracks. Not a very spectacular park, but... 更多
Very good petting zoo.. But I believe they should have more staff and better signage to reach here. A good place to experience rural life in the city, especially because it is just so close to Auckland. Part farm, part regional park, this place has a lot to satisfy kids and adults alike. The farm area has a range of... 更多
We went to this park as we have some spare time before our flight and this park is only 10 minutes away from the air port. We arrived in the evening and was blown away by the beautiful scenery. There are farm animals around you and you can feed them. We are also very lucky to see the sunset that... 更多
We had a few hours to spend before we needed to check in for our flight and this was only a short drive from the airport. The park is free and well managed. There was plenty of parking for the campervan, close to picnic tables and toilets. As well as the farm animals there is a selection of lovely rural... 更多
They have an open farm where you can watch sheep and cows from close up. It must be a nice outing with kids. I mainly went there because I had to get to the airport at rush hour and did not want to get stuck on the highway in traffic. Ambury is only 10 mins drive away from the airport... 更多
An extremely big farm where you can, and should, drive to. You can also take bus 304 and 305 (check with the driver). It is free, and has all sorts of farm animals that you think of: cows, sheep, horses, chickens, pigs etc. You have to look after yourself though, as no one will be there to look after you.... 更多
Easy to get to from where I live. Great experience for my 10 month old to get up close to sheep, cows, chickens etc. If you have a non-walker you'll need a mountain buggy or similar. Your shoes will stink afterwards if you go in the paddocks so make sure you take that into account. Amazing that this is free... 更多
