Looking for a beautiful beach and easy snorkel site this is a perfect beach on west Maui. Fish, turtles, eels just off the beach around the coral outcropping. Clear water, white beaches, showers, restrooms make it a favorite day spot. Bring lunch and enjoy the day. Close by is the Monkeypod restaurant to end the day with delicious fresh juice... 更多
Great beach. It was not crowded. It had great surf to play in. We weren't surfing so i don't know how it rated for surfing. Very active waves. Probably not great for small children.
Went to this beach this morning. Nice and peaceful. One end of the beach had many SCUBA and snorkelers. We went to the other end. There was only about 6 couples on this part of the beach. The slope of the beach is a bit steep, but that helps with some good waves. The clouds came in and even then... 更多
Tip You can easily access this if you are walking along the ocean path (paved sidewalk) Pros - Calm waters - fairly deep beach - not too busy - nice sand Cons / Pro - if you like super long walks this beach along is not enough HOWEVER if you go around the corner you can continue walking on the... 更多
Stayed at the Andaz and found Mokapu directly in back of the hotel. Every day we were there, the water was fairly calm. The views were nice and the sunsets were exceptional. A nice place to go to get away from the pool scene.
This beach was meant to be a good snorkeling beach but perhaps we arrived too late in the day as not much prettiness in the water here. Fun wave and lovely views though.
We loved Mokapu Beach as it wasn't too big and the views surrounding the beach was very pretty and picturesque. The only thing is the resort umbrellas and chairs dominate most of the beach. Other than that the water is calm to swim in and we enjoyed our time. There is pubic parking and facilities available.
Stairs get you to the beach where there are enough waves for boogie boarding. Not great for snorkeling. Great place for photos and watching the sunset
Not a well known beach to tourists, and I suspect Andaz is fine with that. It gives them some exclusivity. Access is through the Ulua Beach parking lot, just break off to the right as you leave. It's worth visiting, especially if you want a drink at the hotel, but Ulua has better snorkeling.
We spent the better part of the day snorkelling at this beach. The water is very clear and just steps from the Andaz Maui resort. There are sea turtles frequenting the Ricky area to the left of the beach. There are many great spots to take photos and a very nice beach to stroll in the evening with breathtaking sunsets.
