If you've been to one luau, you know the program. This one seemed too well scripted and practiced by the narrator. The dancers were good, but they did the expected. Food was quite decedent. Drinks were not. I would not go back again.
Brought my parents (new to Hawaii ) and they really enjoyed the show. Was worth it for that. Buffet was not great with too salty pork (good chicken) but edible. On roof but it gets dark quick so you don't really notice. Sat in back but could see stage easily. If you are thinking of a luau in Wailea this... 更多
This luau is rated as good; but not sure why! The food was mediocre at best. The alcoholic drinks were undrinkable (we all had to drink the light beer to get any decent alcoholic drink). Entertainment OK but not authentic Hawaiian. Go to Lahina for a better experience... You will be one up on us.
All three of us thought the food and drinks were terrible, so much so we were still hungry and stopped for ice cream on the way home. IF you are going to a luau go to Lahaina unless you want to be disappointed.
This was not at all a cultural experience, simply another mediocre buffet with some Hawaiian dancing. The buffet was very ordinary, could have been anywhere in Canada or US.
My wife and I visited this luau while staying at the Marriott so it was very convenient. She is not a fan of buffet style but I enjoyed most of the food. The show was very fun, and the view from the roof of a Maui sunset is beautiful. I would recommend getting in line early unless you pay for... 更多
I agonized over which luau would be best choice and so glad we went here! It's in wailea so if you're planning to drink, can consider how far your cab ride home will be. We also choose this over the highly recommend Old Lahiana for the variety of dance styles. We arrived at 4:30 for "check in" and the line... 更多
I booked and paid for this luau 2 weeks in advance. They email 2 days before to tell me it's canceled, and offer a different day, but we are leaving the island! Upon calling reservations, she gives me a "story" about a blackout date. The concierge who booked another luau for us told me what that really meant, that a... 更多
It was raining cats and dogs the day of our luau, but they moved it indoors to a ballroom at the Marriott in Wailea Beach. I know that couldn't be helped because of the weather, but having in this ballroom, took away from specialness of the event, because we felt like we were attending a conference. The food was just... 更多
Was part of a conference at the Marriott, the final night after an eight night stay for vacation and business. Have been to all of the Islands and lived in Honolulu for three years. Best entertainment, food and service I have had at a luau in many years. What made the difference? Music and dancers very professional, costumes attractive and... 更多
