Certainly more trees than plants and an abundance of bamboo. You are free to wander around which we did, with hindsight we might have got more out of our visit with a guide however we enjoyed just walking freely. We visited in December so plant life might be better at other times of the year? I suggest you combine this... 更多
Not really a botanical gardens as there are few flowers to see. The guide was excellent and highly knowledgeable about the many varieties of trees. Just as well as it was really a garden of trees.
Not sure why previous reviews say not to go. Yes, you should get a guide. Yes, there is a path. There are no signs. Our guide was very informative and interesting. Most us, about 25, all ages like this stop on our tour. I think we were only there about an hour and half which was enough. I think one... 更多
don't go there and use the 3 CUC to buy some beers, that's a better way to spend your money. in the garden there isn't even one info about the park, not even a path or something. horrible! just don't go, go to the beach instead!
If you expect a botanical garden as you know from Europe or Singapore, then you'll be disappointed. There are no signs, which will explain to you what plant you are looking at, and no clear paths in the garden. But if you look for a huge diversity of different plants in a kind of adventurous environment (garden looked a bit... 更多
We visited as part of our tour of Cuba and were greeted by our ultra enthusiastic guide. After giving a brief history of the site we were taken on a short walk being introduced to all sorts of trees and plants. A great touch was our guide had different bird calls on his mobile phone. When a bird was spotted... 更多
Maybe this so called topical botanical gardens was worth it in the past, but now it's an overgrown mess and a serious breeding grown for mosquitoes. Trails are little more than tractor tracks, no signs, no information boards, no park guides, no English, and no refunds. Experience is no different than walking along side any random local road and looking... 更多
I always try to visit botanical gardens, and this one was very peaceful and enjoyable. I would recommend paying for the guide. The conservatory section has plants labeled--otherwise, it's a lovely walk, but without much information.
It was an overcast, slightly rainy day but worth the visit. We chose to pay 10 CUC to have a personal guide to discuss the various plants and gardens for approximately one hour
We were impressed with the fact that this botanical garden was not, as are too many US gardens, over manicured. The variety of plants was impressive, the setting was beautiful, and the guide was very knowledgeable about both the physical characteristics of the plants and many of their potential medicinal and culinary applications.
