2CUC gets you a cocktail and a look around this historic mansion. Stairs take you up two floors to a terrace with a great view of la punta and a bar where your first cocktail is included in your entry fee. We did not eat here but did climb to the rooftop. It is worth the climb to see the magnificent views of the harbor and enjoy the amazing architecture of this villa once owned by a sugarcane baron.
Not much for service on the rooftop but a great view at least. Not sure how good the restaurant downstairs is at night.
We were advised by our guide in Trinidad that we must visit this restaurant in Cienfuegos. He was right! It's a beautiful Moorish influenced building. We made our way to the terrace for refreshments - mojito and chicken sandwich - perfectly decent and the service was excellent. Worth a visit.
Our architecture authority and I walked back to visit the inside of this building after our paladar lunch. It was well worth the walk. The building is like the most intricate sugar icing on the inside~ beautiful details and sundaes color. It is a wonder that it has survived while so many other places have not.
Designed when people had more money than sense, this glorious place is well worth popping along to, and you get a cocktail if you make it to the roof. Popular for wedding photos we sawthe most beautiful bride when we were there. A real treat.
This place is breath taking. It is truly one of Cienfuegos gems This small city is very clean and almost everything is within walking distance. The hotel jagua is very nice and they have houses which have been converted into additional rooms It was a great experience and I look forward going back soon.
Beautiful building to walk through, a very friendly attendant in the small gift section selling postcards, etc., and lovely views from the rooftop terrace, along with a small bar and occasional music.
