When I want to get away from it all, I go to the Astor Theatre to see a movie or a live show and just am entertained.. I have participated in concerts there myself.. For a small town theatre, I am pleased that they bring in great entertainment from outside as well as support local theatre groups and singers.
What a charming place to view a concert of a recital. This grand lady of a performing arts building has aged well. A was pleasantly surprised by the acoustics in the building. This whole facility is amazing. The sound and projection equipment have just been upgraded. Sound is now Dolby 7.1. Movies and shows are all first rate. Ticket prices are excellent and staff are very helpful. This is a gem in the Liverpool area.
