This little theater is a gem. Not only is it cute as a button (with ersatz old world painting, a nod to yesteryear, throughout), but it is owned by an altruistic women, with the help of great staff, who encourages great performances, be it music, film, comedy, spoken word or local legends. A non-profit institution, this theater also "gives back",... 更多
This locale is a labor of love. There is Tuesday night comedy night. There are various performances and talks. The owner, Lucy, is dedicated to community and the arts. The restored theatre is charming inside. We like to sit at the cocktail tables and also upstairs in the mezzanine. The only disappointment is the theatre doesn't let you bring in... 更多
The Throckmorton has always been a terrific place to be entertained. The place is charming, small and most seats are fine. You can reserve a seat if you really want to. Next time there is someone appearing that you'd like to see, go for it. There's no better place to see a show.
I purchased tickets for "Back Porch Soul" knowing nothing about Mill Valley or the Throckmorton Theater. We were visiting for the weekend and when I read about this historical theater I thought why not. The show was amazing and the theater has all the ornate charm of days gone by. It is a small and intimate setting. The staff, volunteers... 更多
First time for Improv show on a Saturday night. Cute theatre, nice staff, had to sit in left side of balcony though and it was still great.
This theatre is beautiful and intimate. It is full of history. The performances are varied, including music, comedy, and plays. I love to go there and often bring out of town guests just to see the place.
This is a great intimate space. Tuesday night comedy is always a blast. In general, everything here is of high quality, and I really appreciate how close I am to the performers. I feel very privileged to have seen Robin Willimas and Dana Carvey perform here. My kids have been in the Youth productions as well, which are fun to... 更多
Fact: The streets roll up in Mill Valley around 8pm. However, Tuesday night is comedy night, there are various concerts, plays and events here. The famous Mill Valley Film Festival uses this charming old theater, every year. Mort Sahl appears here quite frequently.
We come to see "Los Pings" here every year. Large enough but still intimate. We also reserve our seats to sit up front. The dancers can be annoying. Should keep to the sides not block the stage.
