As a local resident and visiting as a child and as an adult, this is a part of the American heritage not to be missed. Check out the herb garden.
i really enjoyed this place! it has some awesome trails and good history! i like it, a lot! Different trails for different experiences !
We usually take the unpaved path to hike. Love the peace and serenity and the shade of trees. Good marks for guidance and visitors center has maps too. Soldiers barracks and Vick house are learning fun for kids!
This park is a paradise for hikers at several different levels. We were there for its Revolutionary War history, but I would have loved to taken advantage of both aspects of the park. The museum in the visitors' center is small but well done and informative. Definitely watch the video if you haven't already seen it at the mansion's visitors'... 更多
Lovely food. Excellent service, prices to match, but if you want a great meal go here. Not for family's, so take the wife. You can't go wrong here. We dined at the restaurant, but had pre drinks at the bar downstairs first. Great night. Parking is extra downstairs which seems a little bit off.
a great view of what our soldiers endured during the revolutionary war fought right here in NJ...when visiting this camp we get a small glimpse of the sleeping quarters and can imagine the hiking and patrolling in the middle of winter. Lots of trails and a loop around the park for drivers/bikers. Worth the trip!!
If you like hiking, there are lots of trails. But there is little else to do here, just a few war encampments by the road. I thought there would be more displays. The part of the park with the Washington headquarters is much more interesting.
This is a beautiful National Historical Park where you can walk on a paved road, or walk on nice trails in the woods. It is an easy walk for children to the elderly depending on how much walking you want to do. They have soldiers' huts up on a hill that you can walk in, and see how they slept... 更多
The kids even sat still for the 15 minute film in the Visitors Center---which is a good way to start this combo of history and hiking. But you do have the option of driving thru the park if you don't feel like walking. Park staff is helpful. Soldier huts are a highlight.
We stopped at Jockey Hollow during some down time we had in Morristown on our trip to the New England area. It was very interesting to see some of the history involved in the park. I should note that there are no fees to explore the grounds, but you can take some tours of area buildings. We did a small... 更多
