Great beach, sandy , shallow entry into sea with no rocks (only on the curve of the bay, where you could snorkel) so ideal for young children. We visit regularly, great beach with food outlet and bars all round. Very busy in high season but if you hire a bed and parasol usually ok. Love it her.
We walked the boulevard; many shops were still closed, and only people in wetsuits were riding some surf. Not very exciting, unless you find a good restaurant which is open. We did not see many.....
The beach is well looked after and cleaned in the summer every week, seaweed removed before it starts to smell. Has palm trees growing out of the sand for shade, beach loungers are available for hire.Plenty of restaurants available on the front .
There are lots of 'in-places' on the beach - and quite expensive. The beach itself is lovely, if small - it gets VERY crowded in summer and parking is a nightmare.
Lots of free parking just behind beach but very busy in summer and at weekends. Shallow slope to beach so good bathing for all ages. Good choice of restaurants and bars on promenade.
The Playa del Arsenal is the main sandy beach in Javea and a popular spot even out of season.
