This site should be visited by anyone who travels to Atlanta. The Atlanta new rail train takes you to it. The walk through the site was very sobering.
This was a fantastic site and free. The National Park system has done and amazing job transporting you back to the era of MLK's youth. Visiting his birth house with a park ranger as your guide was also very informative. Also visiting Ebenezer's Church and Firehouse 6 was fantastic.
What a wonderful job they Park Service has done in preserving and presenting the history and life of a great American in such a way that even young people should be able to relate to the historical significance of this period. The site is wonderfully maintained, clean and very moving. A definite "must see' when you're in Atlanta.

This place was fantastic to visit. Tons of history and exhibits history in a honest way, lots of videos and friendly staff. Best of all free! Worth visiting
A wonderful site to honor a great American hero! Walking through the halls and reading excerpts of Dr. King's works, and receiving a first hand look behind the Civil Rights Movement. Then being able to see the site where Dr. King was laid to rest ... Powerful! Take it all in ... learn and enjoy!

We didn't realize the center closed at 5 and had too little time. Very informative. They have video of the events surrounding MLK's life. It was a little distracting to have all the videos playing at once in different cubicles.
