Cunningham Lake was a stop on a three-week cross country trip for us. It was meant to be a layover before heading into Colorado the next day. A layover is exactly the feel we got from this park. Cunningham Lake is great to walk the trails with your dog. There's a paddleboard rental place and they do paddleboard yoga. Great for kayaking. Lots of space to have picnics and run around. You can also bike. It's just nice all around.
We love to stop at north 72nd street KFC and grab a bucket of chicken goodies and stop at the marina for a quick picnic to watch the boats come and go from the marina. They have great picnic tables and its fun to sit and watch everyone on the lake or take in a sunset. Fishing is great too!
