Perfect location to stop off on the way back to Vegas. We stopped and sat around, watching the bighorn sheep graze around the park. Would be a great spot for a lovely picnic lunch as there is shade and tables available.
Came here with a friend, stayed about an hour and just relaxed in the grass. It was fun. We saw a bunch of rams. If you get too close they will walk away, but I managed to get like within 10 feet of them and take some pictures to show friends on facebook.
I read what other people said but was having trouble believing it. Drove to a tiny park in Boulder City and there were about 40 Bighorn Sheep lying in the grass. You can get pretty close to take photos with a backdrop of Lake Mead. Definitely worth a few minute detour if you are on your way to Lake Mead... 更多
Went twice this visit, first time around noon only 1 sheep to see,2nd visit 4 pm must have been over 100 sheep. Remember they are wild so dont get too close. Nice playground here if you jave little ones. Also look in bushes , we saw some kind of quail and the absolute tiniest bunny I have ever seen
It was such a wonderful, relaxing experience watching these majestic animals roam the park! We visit Las Vegas several times a year and I'm amazed that it is right off the main road...we never even knew it was there! From now on, we will make it a point to stop by on our way in to Vegas every time.
On some days in the Spring and Summer, the park is covered with hundreds of Big Horn Sheep. Stay in your car and watch or bring a picnic lunch or take out from town and sit at the picnic tables. Kids will never forget.
Nestled in beautiful Boulder City, a park and playground with views of Lake Mead. Up close to Big Horn Sheep viewings. Also the occasional hummingbirds, rabbits, and other small wildlife. A great place to just regroup and reset your mindset.
Went to visit the Hoover Dam and saw the sign warning about them on the highway. I asked a Hoover Dam employee on the observation deck where I could find some and he mentioned this spot. I have to say I was shocked that there were about 30 of them in the park snacking on the grounds. They must come... 更多
Stumbled onto this! Free! Regular park that you can see the mountain goats up close, they will let you get within about 10 feet of them before they will move away! Beautiful site! Green sweet grass, and shade trees bring the mountain goats out of the mountains during the really hot weather. If you have animal lovers, this is definitely... 更多
While cooling off in the cafe of Hoover Dam (it was 117 while we were there), I searched for other things to see in Boulder City and stumbled across this listing. Super glad we went! My daughter had been intrigued by the mountain goat signs ( or now we know Little Bighorn sheep) and kept trying to find some while... 更多
