I have been here several times in my travels to Anchorage, and always bring any newcomers to visit the Ulu factory. This is a nice clean store and also where they make many of the knives sold here. The building is very quaint with a good view of The Bridge Restaurant that sits over the river. While eating you can see fisher men and women up and down the shore! We came home with 2 Ulu knives and I ended up buying two more from Amazon when we got home! I hope I made the 100 character minimum!
This was the best souvenir from Anchorage. I have enjoyed my Ulu and purchased a few for friends and family. It took me a few attempts to get use to using the Ulu but it sits on counter in wood stand and is use daily. The shop was easy to visit on the free factory shuttle
You can take a little piece of history with you when you leave. The Ulu Knife is one of the best knives I have in my collection. Don't let the others fool you...this one won't rust, bend or fall apart.
