We walked through the district on the way to the university and we found alarming changes. Places that we had eaten at in the past are now empty and will be torn down and replaced with apartments. We also found more homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks but we didn't run into any trouble. There are still restaurants and shops... 更多
Yes, you'll see everything in the U-District, except big retail and high end destinations. What I love about the Ave and the area around is the mix of book stores, college-budget shops AND more ethnic diversity in the restaurants than you'll find in the International District.

Lots of great restaurants with every type of food you can imagine, tons of retail and like the food scene, a bit of everything, the Burke museum, sports, parks and so much more. There always seems to be events... 更多

Reminded me of home, Pahoa, Hawaii. Recreation store clerks friendly and don't make you feel like a criminal ;) But I especially love the conversations you'll hear just... 更多
Interesting vibe, hippie-grunge-goth-old guy-hipster-you name it kind of place. Some decent places to eat, hotels have been updated to 1970's... 更多
