Detailed information. Very clean and well laid out. Great area for smaller children withsome interactive experiences. We did not have time for the movie. Thoroughly enjoyed the the exhibits.
The Southern Museum in Kennesaw, Georgia contains some very interesting and informative exhibits about the Cival War and the Clover train engine manufacturing that existed in this area during the Cival War. There is a lot to see, so allow a few hours for a quick tour and the half hour movie. There is a detail map of the desplays... 更多
Great little local museum offering the opportunity to learn something very specific about the Civil War - the role of locomotive. There are plenty of artifacts with accompanying text to look at and read. In fact, plan to spend up to 3 hours here if you are very detail oriented. There is also a small (yet lovely) park outside, just... 更多
At $7.50 per adult admission this museum is a bargain. An overview of the Civil War in general is presented with weapons and accoutrements as well. The foundry and "the General"... 更多
A coworker told me about the museum so we stopped by when we were in the area. Learned about the train which was very interesting. I also liked the foundry and craftsmanship that was required in the old days to make things. The boys liked it too.
Worth the visit. You can make a day of it. Visit the museum itself. Then continue your walk down history lane across the street at the really nicely revitalized area where they have murals and additoinal historical information engraved on brick walls. You can walk by all of them and then under the train tracks to the other side of... 更多
