We experienced Holgate Glacier as part of our 6 hour Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise out of Seward. This was the best calving glacier we saw on our Alaskan trip. To see glaciers out of the Kenai Peninsula, you will need to take at least a 6 hr. fjords tour. Along with seeing orcas and humpbacks, seals, eagles, puffins and... 更多
Took one of the tour boats from Seward. Saw whales, otters, porpoises, bears, sea lions. Puffins, bald eagles, peregrine falcons, the list is endless..
Travelled here as part of a Kenai Fjords cruise which in turn was part of a camping trip I was on in Alaska. Absolutely worth it. The glacier is a real thing of natural beauty. We saw parts of the glacier fall off and it was amazing to see a river streaming out from the middle. Incredible environment to be... 更多

The shear size and color of the glacier amazed me! Then when the boat captian shut off the engine, the noises the glacier made were incredible. Sounds from deep in the ice! The time we were there it calved many times. Well worth it!
The glacier is absolutely beautiful. It is approached by boat and kayaks. The sights and sounds of the glacier are breathtaking! Tour boats can be booked from Seward.
