It's like hiking to find the pot of gold. You can't see your destination at first, but before to long you'll see the oasis off in the distance. A great hike, with a beautiful view at the end. The only thing that I didn't like was how short it was. About 3 miles there and back.
What a great stop this was. It is a nice hike a mile and half to the Oasis (1.5 miles back too) It was educational and really made you appreciate Mother Nature for her beauty and what she is capable of.
Oasis at the end of the hike has very little/no water in summer. May not be worth the 3 mile hike, especially because it isn't a loop - you hike up 1.5 miles and then back the same path.
Take a trip through an Oasis. Learn how an Oasis is formed and how the water gets into the desert. The easy trail is filled with information. We enjoyed the experience and learned a lot.
A somewhat out of the way trailhead makes this a less visited spot. This is a classic desert hike up a ridge and down to a beautiful oasis. Appropriate for all ages and abilities, just remember the desert hiking basics. Water, water and water
We really enjoyed this hike. I can see where some of the reviewers were disappointed in the amount of water in the oasis. I was expecting a bit more, but if you climb over some rocks and get a view of the second stand of palm trees, you should be able to see some water. You can't really get down... 更多
This well marked trail climbs a ridge to an oasis of palms, perhaps 49 but I didn't count them. The trail peters out near the oasis which is surrounded by boulders. At this time of year the wildflowers and some cacti are in flower. There is little in the way of shade on the trail.
