This was a fun photo opportunity stop. The kids thought it was hilarious, and it's near Maranatha Baptist Church, right on the side of the road. Definitely stop and take a picture. How often do you see something like this?!
This is a fun place to visit in Plains, especially for children. My grandsons got a real kick out of it. The statue is next to a small convenience store. The gentleman working there was friendly. We just had to stop and have our picture taken with the peanut statue while visiting Plains. It's on the right as you drive from downtown Plains towards Maranatha Baptist Church. Of course you can't miss it! Who doesn't love a giant peanut?!
A quick stop along the way to Plains... with a memorable, kitschy "feel." Grab a photo, make a memory, and keep this piece of American history tucked away to look back upon later, with as big a smile as you'll find on this giant peanut.
