Personally I am not a big jazz fan. But we spent two nights in New Orleans and both nights went to Fritz's. It was terrific. Richard Scott on the piano is phenomonal.
Downstairs is a lively jazz scene with an old world flavor. There's a large crowd and you'll wait a while for drinks. If you're up for something a little different, you can pay a small fee to get to the private rooms above. Upstairs is the vampire's lair. You can try various themed drinks in the dark, sensuous atmosphere with... 更多
Took a while to find and as it has a narrow frontage almost missed it. Went here during Mardi Gras when we were walking the length of Bourbon Street - would have happily stayed most of the afternoon. Brilliant pianist/singer entertaining - he took requests and had a wide repertoire. Bar staff generally helpful. One of my friends had asked... 更多
Two great evenings were topped off with great performances at Fritzel's. Charlie Fardella & Richard Scott one night, and a great cornet and banjo player and band another night. If you having heard Richard "The Piano" Scott, you have missed out on the Eighth Wonder of the World. He is great!
Had heard some great things about this spot, and was definitely not disappointed!!! Ended up staying for 3 sets. By the time the last set started, my boyfriend and I were at the front row and were in a absolute awe at the skills being displayed by all the musicians. Can't remember the name of the man heading up the... 更多

We ended up here by chance during the day and it was the best decision made! There was a guy playing the piano, he was excellent! There was a one drink minimum but I don't see this as being as issue- I went to a bar- and so I expect to order a drink. I go to hear live music-... 更多
We've been gong to NOLA for many years and are always looking for good jazz music in the city. Don't know how we've missed Fritzel's before, but we're certainly happy to have discovered it now! Their jazz band is the best we've ever heard! They were amazing! And Richard Scott on the piano is a show unto himself - have... 更多
We happened upon this place on a recent New Orleans stay and it's a Bourbon Street gem. They bill it as "The Oldest New Orleans Jazz club still in operation. What struck me was the intimacy of the venue. If it's 15' wide, I'd be surprised. In any event, you can get up close to the band and really get... 更多
