My friend and I were in NOLA for my birthday and wanted to go somewhere "local" and this place definitely fit the bill. It is a bit of a hike from the French Quarter, but totally worth it. We went on a Sunday night when they were having a crawfish boil - $10 for all you could eat, there was... 更多
Every Tuesday, rebirth plays for $20 at the door (which is a bit of a ripoff) that's the staple , along with it being a very old bar and a new Orleans classic it also has a great atmosphere and feels as if you are In the heart of NO , because well... You are. The drinks I had were... 更多
Came solely to see the Rebirth Brass Band……… Great music, funky sweaty dimly lit crowded local bar scene…..lots of fun! Pretty much standing room only! If you come to Nola….don't miss it! $20 cash at door…….. Party!!!
The bar tender Kiss was awesome. We were told by locals to go there for a drink and then next store for dinner. Both places were great. Kiss even went over and put our name on the waiting list for us. Tuesday nights they have an amazing brass jazz band.
My husband insisted we go there for a Jazz session. The place is very old school, filled with local and tourists from all ages and backgrounds... LOVED IT!!! Totally worth going for a fun, musical night...
We went to hear Johnny Vidocovitch play... And wow it was the best night we had in New Orleans!! We were the only "tourists" in the place. The rest were locals and very cool people to hang out with. The drinks and music flowed freely. Please note: not many seats and the opposite of "fancy." It was so fun!
Went here to see the Rebirth Brass Band and the place was exactly was pretty much a New Orleans iconic bar for jazz. As others have said, it does get crowded and hot, but there is a nice little patio around back. We got there at 9:30, but the band didn't come on until 11:00. Still, it was very cool... 更多
The Maple Leaf is located in Uptown, and during most of the year frequented by locals, although tourists are not a rarity, as the music is fantastic and the venue is pure New Orleans. One can access this establishment by streetcar-- head down Carrolton, get off at the Oak Street stop and walk about 2 blocks. The street is bustling... 更多
I wouldn't go hear every night I'm in town, but definitely to catch a show - especially if you can see a Jon Cleary show. It's just so quintessentially New Orleans, great little back patio with a nice variety of decorations, cheap beers, and a great crowd dedicated to paying attention to the musicians.
