That is why rich people are important, beautiful preserved home restored by France Parkinson Keyes She restored and maintained this beautiful home while also being an author, plenty of period furniture. Worth a look, the guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant
I absolutely loved this home! It has such a fascinating history, and the garden is beautiful. I love that you can rent out the courtyard for receptions and gatherings. This is a must when visiting NO.
We stumbled upon the museum as we left the Old Ursaline Convent across the street. We were pretty early for the next tour - done on the hour from 10-3. And it's very much on the hour - the door did not open until right at 3. Fortunately we had a wonderful porch to sit on and enjoy the breeze... 更多
The house was lovely and the tour guide was very good. But the most interesting was the varied history of the residents of the house -- from Civil War general to celbrated author to a Mafia shooting! Well worth the price.
On an evening in May, friends were married in this historic venue in the French Quarter! What a beautiful and spacious setting for a wedding! there are courtyards, gardens, and, museum attractions, all located within this space. The wedding was beautifully executed in the garden, and, the reception was lavishly prepared inside the main house. The slave quarters are available... 更多
House was beautiful but tour by Robert made it unique and interesting. As it was Mrs. Keyes birthday they even had cookies and cupcakes to celebrate. Garden was very pretty.
A hidden gem in the French Quarter, but worth making a destination. A lovely old home with an interesting past. Beautiful garden enhances the tour. Does not take long to go through so easy to fit into your day..
This lovely house has been carefully restored to the time of its most famous inhabitants, a french general and an american writer some 200 years later. A "must see" addition if you are doing tours of homes.
Really enjoyed our tour. Note, the tours begin on the hour. We arrived about 5 minutes late, the tour guide was happy to let us join. The tour lasted about 45 minutes. It's a $10 donation at the end. Beautiful old home with a lot of fascinating history. The gardens are really something to see.
