When we knew this was included on our tour it was a case of "oh no not a tea factory" but it was so worth the visit. We were taken around by a lovely young lady and all the processes explained and then we could actually taste the tea (the gold and silver tea is amazing and tastes nothing like... 更多
I've been to Sri Lanka twice so this was actually my second tea plantation visit so unfortunately I was in 'comparison' mode. (The last time I visited Glenloch) The tour of the factory was good and the lady who took us round was very informative, helpful and nice. It was a shame you can't take pictures at this one... It... 更多
A nice quick tour with a very reasonably priced meal to be had afterwards over a nice cup of tea. Eat lunch here and do not be swayed to go to a tourist trap nearby like the Tea Bush which has bad, expensive food for lunch.
We had a quick tour, a quick tea and a quick shopping, but the tour was nice, the tea was OK and the prices were good (lower than in tourist and tea shops outside the tea area, as we found later).
Well I didn't know much about tea making process and whether they buy the tea in etc per of previous reviews. I enjoyed the factory and the information provided about the process and the machinery. After reading negative reviews of labookellie tea estate being a tourist trap we asked our driver to stop here instead. This place was far from a tourist trap. A lovely lady showed us around the factory and was very informative. At the end she didn't want any money. We then got given a free cup of tea and I had... 更多
