Temple is build with full mountain carvings . visited twice while we in madurai. Temple sculptures are massive . I felt goose bumbs many times while seeing many statues . lord murgan is very powerful. Do visit without fail.

Madurai i thought was known for Meenakshi ammal temple but Swami Subramanya temple too is very good. You can see the same grandeur of sculptures and particularly the way the temple is built as part of a mountain. It is a must visit for every visitor to Madurai
