This is a great area to walk around, their are so many buildings here . They are being renovated it will be neat to see what is done with all these unused buildings
This is a great place to take a walk through history. At the time of my visit they were restoring some of the buildings, which I am sure were needed. It is interesting to learn who spent time here.

You can see all the history revolving around Presidents, great military leaders and the original Ft Vancouver (Hudsons Bay) trading outpost. This is a very easy walk down sidewalks and in a park to make viewing and seeing history easy. There are placards up along the walk that point out the history of the past. The day we spent there with friends was a fun, fact filled tour of this historic site. How can you lose with a folksy presentation of the factual background for the entire Northwest. Just a good way to spend a few hours.
The Vancouver National Historic Reserve has a lot to see. The old Fort Vancouver is a very nice reproduction of the old trading post for the Hudson Bay Company in the early 1800's.Take your time...
We have been to many events in this area. The history is great, make sure you have time to visit all of the houses and read about them. It is a fun thing to do when the weather is nice. Take the family and make the walk.

Beautiful and authentic reproduction of an 1800's fort/trading post for early NW settlers. Many activities and re-enactments through the year. Highly recommended
It seems other than a few Government offices that this is pretty much locked up. Great too walk around and so much space to view. Grand location to be for the 4th of July. Veterans Day parade routed this way and was great even with the rain.
