The Vancouver Lake Park has large open grass areas and nice areas for picnicing. There are also long trails for walking your dogs, although dogs are not allowed in the picnic/swimming area. A short drive from the city has you enjoying the lakeshore and the tranquility of Vancouver Lake. Whether you prefer to enjoy the solitude of nature, or bring a picnic and meet friend or walk the dog on the leash or enjoy reading by the lake; it is a good getaway spot!

My daughter had rowing races at the lake. It was very warm and beautiful there. There are lots of trees, beautiful grass and cool water. You can see Mt. Hood, Mt. Saint Helen and 3 others. I only saw those two. Bathroom facilities good too! It was easy to get to and plenty of parking.
Went there during an evening and felt really at peace, there were not much people around, the greenery and the calm waters work wonders to calm and soothe your senses.
