There is something so peaceful and calm about a National Cemetary. The headstone are all lined up like the soldiers they are standing guard over. My Daddy is buried here so it has a special place in my heart.

I visited on a Sunday to find my GGGGrandfather's grave who was a Union soldier during the War Between the States and died in 1864. He is one of four in my family who fought for the Union out of close to 20 ancestors who fought during the war. Being as the majority were Confederates, this ancestor was often overlooked... 更多

Seeing our soldiers who are no longer with us buried in such a uniform manner, was somber. It affords a feeling of gratefulness for their service and a reminder that we owe our freedom to all. This is a beautiful and interesting cemetery for any visitor, but especially to those with loved ones buried there.

This is the burial site of lots of our veterans. One in particular is the grave site of William O Darby a Fort Smith native son and the founder of the US Army's Darby Rangers.

Visiting this National Cemetery reminded me how proud we should be to live in America. It's very humbling to see row after row of white headstones for those that served our nation. The grounds are beautiful and very peaceful. We enjoyed reading the history of how the cemetery came to be and the difference in the Civil War headstones. If... 更多

Everyone needs to visit this place. Pay your respects to the men and women that paid the price for freedom

Immaculate. Very well kept and perfectly manicured. So proud to call this my brothers resting place.

We had friends visiting from Australia and we were showing them all the local sights. They were interested in seeing how our national cemeteries compared with the ones in Australia so we stopped by. The visitors were very impressed with the layout of the graves, at how you see them in a straight line no matter what angle you view... 更多

I've said in other reviews that if we stay a night in a city while passing through that we have to see one thing indicative of the area. My husband had never seen a national cemetery (even though he had been in the Army long ago) so we went to see this cemetery. We were on our way out of... 更多

I have gone by this cemetery since I was just a little girl going to visit my grandparents. We never stopped at it but I always admired it as we drove by. Now that I'm ALOT older I see the beauty in it even more. A friend and my mom and I drove by it on Memorial Day and my... 更多
