Volunteers tend to the gardens in the spring and summer and it is free to walk around. Spring time is best when everything is in bloom. Not a big garden...can be seen in 30 minutes by car driving around the perimeter or by walking.
This place is just beautiful, even only the drive itself is amazing and the flowers are just amazing. If you ever happen to be in Baltimore make sure you visit Sherwood Gardens.
Sherwood Gardens is a great place to relax and see all the beautiful flowers, when in bloom. Even if the gardens are not blooming, it is a relaxing place to sit and read.
This is a lovely small park in a residential neighborhood. Not worth a visit unless you live nearby or are having a picnic during tulip season. No playground.

Visiting Sherwood Gardens is definately a spring thing. These amazing gardens nearly one block square, now maintained by the affluent neighborhood of Guilford were once the gardens adjacent to the Sherwood family house.
