Because this museum provides history about public transport vehicles and its Baltimore system in the years from horsecars until 1963, and you can touch - even ride many of the electric streetcars of the 20th century, you can be transported into what life was like before automobiles in a way that is lively and fun. The museum offers a demonstration... 更多
Helpful staff. Off the beaten path, good for those with an interest in street cars of times gone by. Volunteers are awesome and knowledgeable. Riding the different cars was fun--very short trips. A good place to bring kids.
It was my mother's birthday weekend and I always try to find her an activity. Knowing her love of trains and history, I came across of this gem and she had a blast. She was able to ride (3) streetcars and was also offered the opportunity to operate one of the cars. One would never know of this Baltimore gem... 更多
A small but informative museum. Inside are a number of photos depicting the history of the Baltimore streetcars along with displays and artifacts. Also a gift shop with interesting books devoted to ....yep, streetcars. Outside exhibits include a few streetcars in various states of preservation. There is an "out and back" dog bone shaped track that is maybe 1/2 mile... 更多
Best for kids, especially if they have never ridden a troll;ey. Ride could be longer, but it is still fun. The volunteer attendants love kid's questions to show their smarts.
This museum is was only open on Sundays so I took my 8 year old son and his friend for what I thought would be the afternoon. The staff are volunteers and very gracious, friendly and helpful. It really is only 2 rooms of photo graphs from when streetcars where popular in Baltimore, They must cycle the trolleys they own... 更多
The museum has a great deal - unlimited streetcar rides. They run a car every 15 minutes. I brought the kids there when they opened. I had to pry the kids away at 4:00! Even more amazing, you got to ride on a streetcar more than 100 years old! Most museums put something like that behind glass or a rope.... 更多
The museum was part of a group mystery trip to Baltimore and a favorite of the group. The museum is tucked away on a back road and out of the way but if you have the time, check it out. The museum itself is not much but the rides on the old streetcars are worth the trip. It's a short... 更多
This was not my first time visiting the Baltimore Street Car Museum, but it was one of the best. In a lost corner of Baltimore's industrial past sits the museum and its collection of Streetcars and memorabilia. I would admit I love to travel on steel wheels on steel rails but even those who don't will enjoy the visit. Riding... 更多
There isn't much to the "museum", the only attraction here is to ride on vintage streetcars. They have some very old cars - from 100 years ago - and others from mid-twentieth century. The staff of volunteers are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The admission is fairly low, so if you are a transportation buff or looking for a fun activity... 更多
