We visited for the cycle fest bike ride! Awesome views and scenery. Beautiful mountains and trees. Good weather. Lots to do and see and explore. We have visited before and have done some hiking. Lots of options for camping, lodging, etc. Check it out!
The views were pretty, but the trails need some maintenance. We did the skyline drive trail and we had to walk through some pretty thick brush. The views were gorgeous along the trail and we even came across a wild pig of some kind. Pretty cool.
we drove through the park and then parked near the Indian Lodge to walk a trail. Took some great pics! Good beginner trail....good for me! I do recommend.
We camped here for 3 nights. My first impression was that it is a beautiful area, nice campground, and great weather for August. When setting up camp, the kids poked a yucca plant with a stick. When this happened one of the numerous "retired persons" saw it from afar. She promptly reported us to the park host. The quite gruff... 更多
Even though the amount of land in this state park is huge, and you can explore a large part of it, we really enjoyed the improved, defined areas around the scenic loop, the lodge, the camping, the hiking trails, the programs provided by the Staff. It's a fun place in the summer. The weather was perfect, mid 80's during the... 更多
I could go on and on about the things we loved here. We camped in a tent for 5 nights under a huge oak tree. This was perfect for the warm days and cool nights. The sunrises each morning were spectacular and the sunsets from the lookout were breathtaking. Then the stars came out and oh My!!!! I have never... 更多
We just spent a few hours in this park but the hiking and the views were awesome. The lodge looked nice but it was completely booked when we visited. The ranger at the entrance was super helpful and really engaged my 9 year old daughter. I would love to go back.
We love the Texas State Park system and this is a very nice one. Even in July, the weather is pleasant. Lots of walking and hiking trails, scenic views, great Park staff, lots of staff led (or volunteers from Fort Davis Historic Site) programs of interest to all ages. Two bird sanctuaries are available for bird watching (they do not... 更多
A must see in the area. Incredible views of Davis mountains and manages to take you back in time as you stroll through the property dreaming of the early days here. Well preserved architecture and its history well displayed and informed. Great for everybody including families.
